Prayers for my husband on his birthday.

It is my husband's birthday today. Yaaay!

He is one amazing person and I am blessed to be his wife. I love his joie de vivre,his analytical mind,his friendly personality. He is just awesome and am grateful to God to be able to spend the rest of my life with him

Too shy to pray in public?

Have you ever being asked to pray out loud in a gathering of family, friends or both and you suddenly don’t know what exactly to pray for, or how to coin the words together?  Or you wonder why you were picked and not someone else. Then, out of nervousness, you say a simple prayer, which may not seem good enough to the hearers, evidenced by the disappointed looks.

Doing Life with God....Intimacy with God

I love Joyce Meyer. Though I am of the Roman Catholic faith, I enjoy her teachings. She has been instrumental to my desire for intimacy with God. I have her app on my phone and  often listen to her sermons, read her daily devotionals and articles. It was she who came up with the phrase, ’doing life with God’.

The lover of my Soul

I was doing a little ‘spring cleaning’ the other day when I came across one of my oldest diaries, dated as far back as 2006/2007. It was so interesting reading through my thoughts about the way I saw the world then. The realization that I have indeed come a long way made me grateful to God. One thing that struck me though, is my evergreen passion for God. I will be sharing some of my old diary entries from time to time.

I wrote this one on the 12th of September 2007, at 11.30 am, while nursing a heart break.☺☺ I remember I was at home on vacation, after one of our semester exams. I was in 200 level.

The Lord who protects.

The day before yesterday, I boarded a taxi at the taxi park near my work place. It was about 7.50pm.
The driver said ‘one-chance’, meaning, just one more passenger to fill up the taxi. I was glad, knowing I won’t have to wait for the cab to fill up and I would get home sooner. As soon as the vehicle started moving, the guy beside me started exclaiming that some hoodlums had taken/stolen his bag which contained his money and phone. 

Does God permit some bad things?

I recently had a 2 day long theological debate with one of my many dear friends who resides in the UK. We often chat via blackberry messenger. The subject matter was whether God permits certain trials and difficult situations in the life of a Christian, or whether all trials are orchestrated independently by the devil, without God’s permission.

This is going to be a long but very interesting read, so brace up.
